Two Men's Soccer Players Named NWAC All-Star Players

Two Men's Soccer players have been named to the NWACAll-Star team for 2017. Lukas Gregg and Quinn Landrud are both named to the North-West team at the upcoming event as defenders.
Most defenders do not have a lot of goals or points on the season, but their efforts are shared by the great effort of the goalie. This season, FreshmanAlek Greenleaf (Tacoma, WA., Woodrow Wilson H.S.)had a great season for the Raiders in the goal. Greenleafended up with a 1.38 Goals Against Average for the game, and he ended up keeping 76% of the shots out of the goal. The back end players ended up having seven shutouts during the season.
NWACMen's Soccer playoffs will be going on Friday, November 10-Sunday, Nov. 12 at Starfire Soccer Center in Tukwila, WA. The All-Star game will serve as part of the event and it will be played on Sunday, November 12 at 11:15 a.m., which will be prior to the NWACChampionships.
Freshman Lukas Gregg (Federal Way, Todd Beamer H.S.).Gregg ended up starting twenty games for the Raiders. He ended up the season with two goals and an assist. Sophomore Quinn Landrud (Auburn, WA., Thomas Jefferson H.S.), who is currently named as Pierce Raiders Hampton Inn & Suites Player of the Week, ended up starting nineteen games for Pierce ending up with a goal and an assist. Quinn was named NWACPlayer of the Week during the 2016 season as a freshman.
The seven shutouts helped the Pierce Raiders Men's Soccer team gain a berth in the NWACSoccer Playoffs. Pierce was the #3 seed out of the NWACWest Region and they upset #5 ranked Rogue C.C. on the road with a 4-0 win in Medford, OR.. The team then fell in the quarterfinals playing #1 ranked Whatcom C.C. in Bellingham, WA., 4-0 last Saturday. Pierce ended up finishing the season at 6-3-3 in conference, and 9-9-3 overall.
