Raider Offense Finds Spark in Win Over Grays Harbor

The Pierce Raiders lit up the score board on Wednesday evening as the Raiders beat the Grays Harbor Chokers by a score of 88-63. Wednesday night’s win was the highest scoring game for Pierce this season. The Raiders managed to keep Grays Harbor to only 35 points by half time, while Pierce kept a score of 49. Pierce out-scored Grays Harbor in every statistical category, shooting 47.4% in 3-pointers, 48.5% from the field, and 71.4% from the free-throw line. 

Kiki Brooks led the Raiders in scoring with 21 points. Brooks went 7-for-11 from the field, recording a percentage of 63.6 and was 5-for-8 in free-throws, averaging 62.5%. Brooks also added two assists and three rebounds in the game.

Leslie Luna added 20 points for the Raiders, marking her second highest scoring game. Luna grabbed eight rebounds and added one assist for Pierce.

Jordan Carter provided 16 points for Pierce, shooting 100% from the 3-point-line, 83.3% from the free-throw-line, and 50% from the field. Jordan added six assists, and two defensive rebounds in the game.

Keshara Romain scored 13 points for The Raiders and grabbed 13 rebounds. Romain added two assists, two steals, and one block against Grays Harbor.

Tyra Brown delivered 12 points and snagged 13 rebounds in the game. Brown was 2-for-2 on free-throws and shot 83.3% from the field.

The Raiders head to Longview, WA on Saturday, Feb. 18th, to take on Lower Columbia College. Tip-off is slated for 5:00pm.
