Raiders Rally Falls Short Against Thunderbirds

The Women’s Basketball team dropped a close game on Wednesday evening against Highline by a score of 36-33. The Raiders held the Thunderbirds to only two points in the first quarter, but Highline was able to find redemption in the remaining minutes of the game to come out victorious. Wednesday night’s loss drops the Raiders overall schedule to 6-10 and 3-4 in West Region play.
Keshara Romain scored seven points for the Raiders and led the team in rebounds with an impressive 21. Romain added three steals, one block, and one assist.
Leslie Luna also added seven points for the Raiders, as well as two rebounds and one assist. Luna led the team in steals with four.
Tyra Brown grabbed 15 rebounds for the Raiders and scored six points in the game. Brown led the Raiders in blocks with two.
Jordan Carter added six points for the raiders as well as four rebounds, one assist and two steals.
The Raiders host cross-town rival, Tacoma CC on Saturday, Feb. 11th at 1:00pm. In their last meeting, the Raider defeated the Titans with a score of 51-43.
