The Pierce Women's Soccer team delivered an action-packed game on Wednesday against home-team South Puget Sound. The Raiders beat the Clippers with a score of 3-0. Wednesday's win increases the overall record to 6-3-1 and 4-2-1 in West Region play.
The Raiders offense worked tirelessly on Wednesday as they delivered 15 shots-on-goal. Bella Atkinson and Laila Peterson each had 2 shots-on-goal, Regina Garay and Ashlyn Kennedy both had 3, and Madison Ryneski led the Raiders with 5 shots-on-goal. Laila Peterson (Morgan Nall) scored first for the Raiders in the 23rd minute, and Bella Atkinson (Madison Ryneski) add the second goal of the half in the 43rd minute. Madison Ryneski (unassisted) scored the final goal for the Raiders in the 63rd minute. Rylee Kline was the goalkeeper for the Raiders and recoded her fifth shutout for the Raiders. Kline had three saves on three shot-on-goal.
The Raiders head back to Puyallup on Wednesday to take on Tacoma Community College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00
