The Pierce Raiders traveled down to Longview on Saturday afternoon to take on the West Region leaders, Lower Columbia College. The Raiders put up a good fight, but lost to the Red Devils with a score of 4-2. Saturday's loss to LCC drops the Raiders overall season record to 9-6-1 and 6-4-2 in the West Region.
Regina Garay wasted no time on Saturday by scoring the first goal (unassisted) of the game in the 3rd minute. The Red Devils quickly answered back and put up four consecutive goals. Madison Ryneski ended the Red Devil scoring streak by netting the ball in the 86th minute. Bianca Passig made two solid scoring attempts by putting the ball on frame twice, but was unsuccessful each time. Rylee Kline recorded eight saves on the day out of 12 shots on goal.
The Raiders head back to their home field on Saturday and welcome South Puget Sound. Game time is scheduled for 12:00pm.
