Raiders Break Program Records in Saturday Shutout (10/22/22)

The Pierce Raiders broke a program record on Saturday afternoon by recording their 10th win of the season. The previous record of 9 wins was last set by the 2021-2022 team. Saturday's win against South Puget Sound improves the Raiders overall record to 10-6-1. Pierce currently sits in 4th place in the West Region standings with a record of 8-5-1.

After a quiet first half, the Raiders found a spark in the second half that sent four goals into the net. Madison Ryneski added to the record books by adding career goals 32 and 33. Ryneski scored the first goal (unassisted) of the game at 61:21 and added another goal (Anna Scheidt) less than two minutes later at 63:16. Ashlyn Kennedy (Rachel Mironchuk) added to the scoreboard with another Raider goal just a minute and a half later at 65:30. Regina Garay (Madison Ryneski) was the last Raider to score on the day at the 85th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper, Rylee Kline, played her part in rewriting the record books by recording her 10th shutout of the season. Kline's 10th shutout continues her first-place overall ranking in the NWAC.

The Raiders are scheduled to visit cross-town rival, Tacoma Community College, on Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 12:00pm.
