Raiders Season Ends at Regional Tournament (11/12/22)

The Raiders Volleyball team ended their 2022 season after two losses in the first round of Regional play. The Raiders ended their season with an overall record of 12-17 and 6-6 in the West Region. 

The Raiders started Regional play by taking on #2 seed from the East, Columbia Basin College. Sway Leia led the Raiders in attacks by producing 8 kills. Abby Draghici added 6 kills, and Addie Downs delivered 5. Illasia Bennett, Raedyn Goudreau, Madisyn Buckner, and Hollie Haataia each had 2 kills in the match, and Brea Walker supplied one kill. Raedyn Goudreau guided the team with 22 assists, and Brea Walker had a team-leading 10 digs. The Raiders fell to the Hawks with a score of 3-0.

After the first-round loss, the Raiders took on Everett Community College in a loser-out match. The Raiders battled long and hard in the 4-set-match, but unfortunately the Trojans walked away with the win. Pierce took the first set with a score of 27-25, but dropped the next three sets, 23-25, 24-26, and 10-25. Abby Draghici led the offense by supplying 12 kills. Madisyn Buckner delivered 7 kills in the match, and Sway Leia chipped in with 5 kills. Brea Walker and Sway Leia were put to work on defense by each receiving 9 digs.
