Draghici named NWAC West Region Defensive Player of the Week (9/13/22)

Abby Draghici has been selected the West Region’s Defensive Player of the Week, for Week #3 of the 2022 volleyball season.  The Raiders’ freshmen middle blocker, from Meridian, ID (Centennial HS), had a huge day at Wednesday’s Raider Quad, leading the Raiders to wins over Edmonds (3-0) and Bellevue (3-2).  Draghici collected 39 digs, 4 blocks, and 19 kills, on the day, and was instrumental in the Raiders’ dramatic come from behind win over the Bulldogs

“Abby had an outstanding week defensively,” according to Raiders Head Coach, Valerie Koch.  “She was able to put up big numbers while being an extremely supportive and positive teammate on the court. Having a 6-rotation middle is so special and she has really gone above and beyond in this role. I can't wait to see what Abby achieves the rest of this season!"
