Raiders Unable to Rally Against Gators (10/21/22)

The Pierce Raiders lost to Green River on the road Friday night in the evening contest. The Raiders dropped the first set with a score of 26-24, but quickly answered back winning set two (25-22) and three (25-21). Despite the rally, the Raiders were unable to find another spark as the Gators took match four (19-25) and five (5-15). Friday night's loss drops the Raiders overall record to 11-13, and 5-4 in the West Region.

Illasia Bennett stepped in as the setter with 16 assists after an injury to Raedyn Goudreau, who had 14 assists in the early half of the night. Abby Draghici controlled the attack line with 20 kills, boasting a kill percentage of .333% against the Gators. Sway Leia also added to the stat-sheet with 9 kills. Brea Walker led the Raiders in digs with a total of 26, while three other Raiders also posted double-digit digs; Sway Leia (14), Abby Draghici (13), and Illasia Bennett (11).

The Raiders return back home on Wednesday, as they take on cross-town rival, Tacoma Community College. First serve is set for 6:30pm.
