Cross Country takes Second at NW Regionals

The Raiders Cross Country team continued their strong Fall season, taking second place at the North-West Regionals, hosted by Olympic College. The Raiders, were once again led by freshman Jasmine Davis, with her second place individual finish (19:27.41 - 5K meters). Sophia Randall placed 5th (20:58.96), Valery Saavedra-Lunaplaced 12th (22:28.59), Elle Lovrak took 14th (23:22.58), and Jillian Ruiz finished 17th (24:06.17), in the field of 27 runners. The Raiders had a team score of 49, just 6 points behind team champion Everett (43), and ahead of Olympic (60), and Whatcom (63).

The race was the final tune up before the NWAC Championship meet on November 13, at Chambers Creek Regional Park. The men's 8K race will begin at 11:00 am, with the women's 5K starting at noon.
