Standout Spring: Raiders Collect NWAC All-Region Awards

As the spring sports season comes to a close, the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) has released its All-Region and All-NWAC selections — and several Pierce Raiders have earned well-deserved accolades for their standout performances on the field.

These honors, voted on by coaches within each division, highlight the exceptional talent and dedication of Raider student-athletes this season.

Softball

Samantha Tungsvik, a sophomore pitcher and infielder, was the lone Raider from the softball program to earn North Region honors. Tungsvik was selected to the Second Team North Region Infield, capping off a strong career in which she consistently contributed on both sides of the ball. Her presence in the lineup and in the circle made her one of the team’s most reliable and impactful players.

Baseball

The Raiders baseball team had an impressive showing in the West Region All-Region and All-NWAC selections, with seven athletes earning recognition:

  • Joel Fernandez was named to the West Region First Team as a catcher and was also selected as the All-NWAC Second Team catcher. In addition, Fernandez earned West Region Gold Glove honors for his defensive excellence behind the plate.

  • Bo Stinson was named to the West Region First Team as an outfielder, providing consistent offense and solid defensive play throughout the season.

  • Cooper Weygandt earned a spot on the West Region Second Team as a pitcher, following a season marked by dependability and strong outings on the mound.

  • Cameron Hale and Tristan Ringrose were each selected to the West Region Second Team infield, playing key roles in the Raiders' offensive and defensive infield efforts.

  • Kadin Kingsbury and Bradley Carl were recognized with West Region Gold Glove honors as outfielders, and both were additionally named to the All-NWAC Gold Glove Team, showcasing their elite defensive skills.

The Pierce College Athletic Department proudly congratulates all of the Raider student-athletes recognized for their outstanding seasons. These awards are a testament to their hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
