Raiders Fall to Clippers (9/28/22)

The Pierce Raiders dropped their first matchup against South Puget Sound on Wednesday with a score of 4-1. Despite an early lead, the Raiders were unable to silence the Clippers offense. The Raiders loss brings their overall record to 1-10-0, and 0-7-0 in West Region play.

The Raiders struck early in the first half with a goal from freshman Andres Perez-Solis (Jonathon Rogne) in the 8th minute. Four other Raiders; Ethan Hendrickx, Nathan Inriguez, Manuel Lomeli, and Christian Mago, were able to put the pressure on by each providing one shot-on-goal. Gavin Forman led the Raiders goalkeepers with six saves.

The Raiders continue their journey on the road Wednesday afternoon by heading north to Tukwila to take on the Highline Thunderbirds. Wednesday's match up to set to start at 2:15pm.
