Raiders Softball Season Comes to an End

The Pierce Raiders season ended at home on Saturday, May 13th after two losses to Edmonds College. The Raiders finalized their season with an overall record of 7-26 and 5-19 in the North Region conference. 

While Edmonds scored four runs in the first inning, the Raiders ended their rally early, not allowing another run until the top of the seventh inning. Pierce scored a run in the bottom of the third making the score 4-1, and in the bottom of the seventh inning, Pierce added three runs, including a 2-run homerun off the bat of sophomore Savannah Manley. Manley and Elena Castanon, and Baylee Blau each had two hits in the game, while Grace Spencer tallied three hits. Cydney Jarvis pitched all seven innings for the Raiders, facing a total of 32 batters. Jarvis struck out seven in her appearance.

Edmonds held the Raiders to only four hits in game two, with Baylee Blau collecting two. Grace Spencer and Olivia Watts each recorded one hit in the game. Makayla Stockman started on the mound for the Raiders, pitching all seven innings. In her 32 batters faced, Stockman gave up 10 hits, five runs, one walk, and struck out two.
