Raiders Fall to Tritons

The Edmonds Tritons proved their power in games one and two against the Raiders on Monday, March 25th. Edmonds defeated the Raiders in game one by a score of 10-1 and game two by a score of 5-2.

The Raiders were held to five hits in the game. Elyssa Barnett had two hits, followed by Sidnye Burger, Samantha Tungsvik, and Abigail Lindenmuth who each had one hit. The Raiders were silenced on the scoreboard until the top of the sixth inning when a single from Burger scored Tungsvik from second base, who had doubled in her previous at bat.

Vivian Watts pitched the complete game, putting in 5.1 innings of work and striking out one.

Edmonds scored early in game two with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Raiders were able to tie the game in the top of the third with two runs as Sidnye Burger doubled, bringing home Kalia Kato and Samantha Tungsvik. Edmonds added another run in the bottom of the third and two more in the bottom of the fourth, ending the game with a final score of 5-2.

Sidnye Burger led the Raiders at the plate with three hits and two RBI, and Kalia Kato, Madison Septon, and Tungsvik each had one hit.

Tungsvik started on the mound for the Raiders, pitching six innings and striking out two.
