
Raiders Dominate at NWAC Regionals
The Women's Track and Field team headed to Bremerton, WA to participate in the NWAC North Regionals on Sunday, May 12th.
Freshman distance runner, Gabriela Martinez-Duran, laced up for the 1500m race and finished in second place with a time of 5:20:60, just .40 seconds off of the first place runner from Olympic who finished in a time of 5:20:20. Gabriela improved her time from her last 1500m race at the CWU Invitational, where she completed the race at 5:28:12.
Pray'cess Kamuta continued to dominate in the women's shot put, coming in first place with a distance of 12.59m, beating her previous throw at the CWU Invitational of 11.90m. Kamuta currently sits in first place in the NWAC shot put standings.
MJ Faagua placed 1st in the women's discus event with a distance of 32.61m, her second best discus throw of the season.
The Raiders will head to Gresham, OR on Monday, May 20th for the Track and Field NWAC Championships.
