Raiders Fall to Red Devils

Pierce College dropped the second game this season to the Lower Columbia Red Devils with a score of 70-53. The Raiders kept a close game against the Red Devils, only trailing by 2 at the half. A third quarter rally from LCC helped the Devils walk away with the win. Saturday night’s loss drops the Raiders overall schedule to 8-17 and 5-5 in the West Region. The Raiders continue to hold the #4 spot in West Region standings.

Keshara Romain led the Raiders in points with 17 and rebounds with 15, marking her 15th double-double this season. Romain added two assists and two blocks for the Raiders.

Kiki Brooks added 12 points for Pierce, as well as two rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal. Brooks shot 50% from around the court, going 3-for-6 in field goals, 1-for-2 in 3-pointers, an 5-10 in free-throws.

Leslie Luna provided 11 points for the Raiders and shot 42.9% from the 3-point line, making three of seven attempts. Luna grabbed eight defensive rebounds, and added four assists and one steal in the game.

Tyra Brown added 13 rebounds for Pierce and added six points in the game. Brown had one assist and two blocks.

The Raiders face Green River at home on Wednesday night. Game time is set for 5:30pm.
