Raiders Sink Clippers

The Lady Raiders defeated the South Puget Sound Clippers on Saturday by a score of 77-70. The Raiders came back after a slow start, only scoring a total of 24 points by halftime, but managed to put up 29 points in the third quarter and another 24 points in the fourth quarter, to take the lead and the game within the final seconds. Saturday’s win extends the Raiders West Region record to 4-1 and an overall record of 8-11.

Leslie Luna led the Raiders on offense with 23 points and posted a shooting percentage of 53.7% going 8-for-21 from the field, and 100% from the free throw line. Luna added seven rebounds, one assist and four steals in the game. Tayah Parker put up 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, as well as four steals. Jordyn Peterson provided 15 points and led the Raiders in steals with five. 

The Raiders will take on Centralia at home on Wednesday, January 31st at 5:30pm.
