Raiders sweep Tacoma and Centralia in Week 2

Raider Volleyball extended their domination of the West Region, with two big wins in Week 2 of NWAC league play. The Raiders went on the road to Tacoma on Wednesday, winning 3-0, and swept Centralia (3-0) at home on Friday. The wins improve the Raiders record in the West to 49-2, dating back to the 2017-18 season.

The Raiders win over Tacoma (25-14, 29-27, 25-23) was the twelfth consecutive win over the Titans. Dominique Dizon led the Raiders with 13 kills. Raedyn Goudreau led the setting corp with 13 assists, followed by Kaya Anderson (8), and Makenna Roberts (7). Baylee Blau had a team-leading and season-high wiith 16 digs. Dizon and Addie Downs each had 2 blocks.

On Friday, the Raiders made quick work of the visiting Trailblazers, 25-10, 25-13, 25-20. Another balanced effort by the Raiders extended their record to 3-0 in the West, 14-4 overall. The offense was led by Moeshana Maiava, with 11 kills, and Brianna Ingram and Dominique Dizon, each with 8 kills. Kaya Anderson led the setters with 11 assists, followed by Makenna Roberts (9) and Raedyn Goudreau (8). Saisha Morales collected 11 digs.

The Raiders are on the road this Wednesday, traveling to Green River, then return home Friday to host Highline. Game time at 7:00 pm.
