The Pierce Raiders defeated South Puget Sound on Friday evening on the road. Pierce came back after a first-match-loss to defeat the Clippers in three consecutive matches (14-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21). The Raiders improve their West Region standing to 1-1 and 8-10 overall.
Raider offense was led by Abby Draghici with 10 kills, followed by Sway Leia with 9, and Raedyn Goudreau with 8. Five Raiders notched double-digit digs; Illasia Bennett led the team with 19, Abby Draghici chipped in with 17, Brea Walker had 11, and both Sway Leia and Raedyn Goudreau tallied 10.
The Raiders are headed back to Lakewood on Wednesday to take on Green River. First serve is set for 6:30pm.
