Lemesh Wins Northwest Region Championship
Ana Lemesh continued her strong Fall season, capturing the 1st Place in Saturday's NWAC Northwest Region Championship meet. The event was hosted by Green River College, held at Lake Wilderness, in Maple Valley.
Lemesh finished the 5K course with a season-best time of 20:52.5, just edging Iszabelle Anderson of Whatcom (20:53.1). Lauren Sautter finished in 6th place with another solid performance, turning in a time of 22:08.1. Valery Saavedra-Luna finished 11th (22:50.3), and Emma Davis rounded out the Raider squad with a 14th place finish (23:40.8). With only four runners, the Raiders did not qualify for a team finish at the event.
The Raiders are in final preparation for the NWAC Championships, to be held at Chambers Creek Regional Park on November 12. Pierce College is serving as the host school for the championships again this year.
