Bio

What is your favorite food? I love my cultural food so I would say my favorite food is a Samoan delicacy called, Palusami and Fa’alifu Kalo. Palusami is coconut milk wrapped with taro leaves, Fa’alifu Kalo is taro root cut into pieces with coconut milk and most times onions. P.S. if you’re wondering why I am strong?..it’s because of those two...well partially.

Where is one place you would love to travel? I would love to travel to the United Kingdom or Australia, because I think I would love it there!

What is your dream job? I feel like there are two options I could go with this but, I plan to become a teacher, but another road I could have gone down was becoming a music artist. I enjoy both so much, I love singing but I also love helping others and inspiring our upcoming generations.

If you could invite anyone to dinner, who would it be? I would probably invite my Grandma Su’e. I miss her so much and I wish she got to witness all her grandkids come together and unite as one as she always taught us to. We miss and love you dearly, Manuia Lau Malaga Grandma.

Who is your favorite sports team? I love sports, specifically football so I will have to choose Seattle Seahawks. My family is pretty much split teams between Niners and Seahawks so, pick your poison.

How did you first get involved in your sport and how long have you played? I was in the weight room at my old high school, it just so happened that one of the head coaches was passing by and watched me hit a back squat PR of 315. Then from there, we got down to business and I started my first year in Track and field during spring of my junior year. I was involved in track and field for 2 years from junior year to senior year and now continuing it here at Pierce College.

What do you like to do in your free time?  I like to spend time with all of my family, we’re all blessed with being musically and athletically inclined, so I enjoy singing with them and having jam sesh’s as well as play sports with them. I also help coach volleyball at my old high school with my favorite people in the world, Our head Coach Jonnae and her sisters, my sister Lynchelle Sio-Fetaui and my twin sister Peanut.

What is the most memorable moment of your athletic career so far?  My most memorable moment was definitely winning 2023 state champion for girls shotput during my senior year. Sports are similar to a double edged sword, there will be many good things that happen but along with the good things come bad things as well. Just keep pushing and let your work and mindset carry you there.
